GARMENT WORKERS IN BANGLADESH AND CAMBODIA

I was commissioned by Clean Clothes Campaign to travel to Bangladesh and Cambodia to portray a number of women working in various levels of the clothing industry. It was ranged from vice president of the union to the girl who sew 400 zips to jeans each day.

All these women strive to improve working conditions in their profession. Click on the photo to read how they do it.

Exhibited in Tropenmuseum (NL) and De Balie (NL)

Director Sanne Vogel and Mirjam van Heugten made a short movie (2 min) about the garment industry and the women we portrayed.
